Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit nodd-sigma.com or buy from NODD, what we do with it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We do not sell your personal information.
1. Who is responsible for your information
DAT COMICS, 90 rue des Chantiers, 78000 Versailles, France is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, write to our support team, through the Support page.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Order information: name, email address, shipping address, billing address, and phone number if you choose to give one, plus the products you order.
- Messages you send us, including return and warranty requests and any photos you attach.
- Your email address, if you sign up for our email list.
We do not ask for any health information. If you mention something personal in a message, for example to explain a return, we only use it to answer you.
Payment information. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. The processor shares with us limited details such as card brand, last four digits, expiry date, billing postal code and fraud risk signals.
Information collected automatically. Like any website, our hosting provider receives technical data when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the date and time. This data is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and troubleshoot errors. Your cart is saved in your own browser's local storage and is not sent to us until you check out. See our Cookie Policy.
Information from others. Carriers send us delivery status updates. Our payment processor sends us payment and fraud check results.
We do not currently use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking tools on this website. If that changes, we will update this policy and the Cookie Policy first and, where required, ask for your consent.
3. How we use it
| Purpose | Information used |
|---|---|
| Process, ship and track your order, and send order and shipping emails | Order, payment and delivery information |
| Handle returns, refunds, warranty claims and customer service | Order information, messages, photos |
| Prevent fraud and secure payments and the website | Payment signals, IP address, technical data |
| Keep accounting and tax records and meet legal obligations | Order and payment records |
| Send marketing emails, only if you signed up | Email address |
| Establish or defend legal claims | Relevant records |
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the store, and only what they need:
- Payment processor: payment processing and fraud prevention. The processor is named at checkout.
- Hosting provider (Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States (vercel.com)): serves the website.
- Google (Google LLC): the web fonts used on the site are downloaded from Google Fonts, which shares your IP address with Google.
- Shipping carriers: delivery of your order.
- Logistics partners who pack and ship orders: name, shipping address, phone if given, and order contents.
- Email provider: order emails and customer service messages.
We may also disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or to a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized, under the same protections.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We do not disclose it to third parties for their own direct marketing.
5. How long we keep it
- Order, payment and tax records: as long as accounting and tax rules require, generally up to 7 years after the order.
- Customer service messages and warranty claims: up to 3 years after our last exchange.
- Email list: until you unsubscribe, then only a suppression record so we do not email you again.
- Hosting logs: a limited period set by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
6. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Card payments are handled by a specialized payment processor and card numbers never touch our servers. Access to order data is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a data breach where the law requires it.
7. Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails if you asked for them. Every one includes a working unsubscribe link, and you can also write to our support team, through the Support page. Order, shipping and service emails are sent even if you unsubscribe, since they relate to your purchase.
8. Your privacy rights, including California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the rights listed below. Several other states have passed similar laws. Whether a given law formally applies depends on the size of a business, but we honor these requests for every customer, whatever state you live in.
- Know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and get a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information, subject to legal exceptions such as tax records.
- Receive your information in a portable format.
- Opt out of the sale of personal information and of sharing for targeted advertising. We do neither.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information beyond what is needed to process your order.
- Not be treated differently for using these rights.
Categories, for California residents. In the last 12 months a store like ours collects these categories defined by the CCPA: identifiers (name, email, addresses, IP address), customer records (shipping and billing details), commercial information (what you ordered), and internet activity limited to technical server logs. They come from you, your device, our payment processor and carriers. They are used for the purposes listed in section 3 and disclosed only to the service providers listed in section 4. None are sold or shared for advertising.
How to make a request. Write to our support team, through the Support page with the subject "Privacy request", your name, the email used for your orders and what you are asking for. We verify your identity by matching the details with our records, and may ask for one more detail such as an order number. An authorized agent can make a request on your behalf with your signed permission. We respond within 45 days, and tell you if we need an extension allowed by law.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with the subject "Privacy appeal". If you are still not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing. Since we do not sell, share or track you across other websites, these signals do not change how the site works.
California "Shine the Light". We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
9. European data protection law (GDPR)
DAT COMICS is established in France, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act apply to the way we handle your personal information, wherever you live. DAT COMICS is the data controller.

Your rights. Whatever your country or state, you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your information, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw a consent you gave. You can also give instructions about what happens to your information after your death. Write to our support team, through the Support page. We answer within one month.
Complaints. If you think we have not handled your information properly, tell us first so we can fix it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France, cnil.fr.
Transfers outside the European Union. Some of our service providers, such as our hosting provider and carriers, are located in the United States. When personal information is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or by the provider's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
No automated decisions. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, apart from the fraud checks run by the payment processor on each payment.
10. Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. You must be 18 or older to buy. If you believe a child has given us information, write to our support team, through the Support page and we will delete it.
11. Where your information is handled
We sell and ship only within the United States. The store is run from France, so your information is handled there and by service providers located in the United States.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell customers by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect.
